Competition Submission Page
Wolverhampton Young Photographer Competition Entry Page If you are aged 15 to 18 on the 31st December 2019 use this page to submit up to a maximum of THREE digital images to the Open category of the Wolverhampton Young Photographer competition. If you are younger than 15 do not use this page to enter your photographs. Unless you are 18 or older, make sure you have permission from a parent, guardian or school before you enter the competition. Check out the Competition Rules to see what’s needed. Download and read the document about how to enter which gives details of things you need to do before submitting your entries. Once again, ask for help if you are unsure about what to do. Don’t worry about the type of camera you use to take your photograph. A smart-phone, small digital camera or other type is okay … it’s your photograph that is important, not the type of camera you use. Remember however - you are competing against others so make sure your entry is the best quality you can produce whatever the device you are using to create your final image. Depending on the type of camera you use you may need to reduce the file size of your image. An individual image must be less than 2.5Mb in size otherwise you will not be able to upload it. There are lots of ways to reduce its size if your image is too big so ask for help if needed. There are no rules about what the subject of your photograph can be, but think about what others may be submitting and choose only your best work. There is almost an unlimited choice of subjects to photograph so think about how your entry might compare to others. Try to make sure your photograph is clear and well composed, or conveys a message clearly if that is what you’re trying to do. Show your photo to friends or family and see if they like it. The organisers of Wolverhampton Young Photographer wish you the very best of success. Good luck!

The following fields must be filled-in: Your Name: Enter your first name and surname eg: Sally Smith Entry Code: Enter the Entry Code given on the main competition entry page … it is not case sensitive Contact Email: An email will be sent to you to confirm your entry and be notified if you are short-listed Title of Entry 1: The title of your photograph which must be no more than 30 characters eg: Sunset on Ice Entry 1: Use the Browse button to find and select the image for submission To enter your photographs into the competition click the Upload button. If you want to clear the form of all your entries, click the Start Again button. You must tick all three boxes to confirm your entry. When completing fields only use normal characters and/or numbers and do not include punctuation or symbols other than ‘@’, hyphens, exclamation marks or brackets. If you do use characters which aren’t allowed in a given field, or do not complete a required field, when you submit your entry the system will list any errors you have made and ask that you go back and make corrections. If your entry is submitted successfully the system will confirm this and also send you an email summarising your entry. I don’t attend a school or college any more but the form insists I give the name of one. How do I enter? Enter ‘None’ as the name of your school or college. How do I remove an entry after it has been submitted? Please email entries@wolverhamptonyp.org.uk to request your entry be removed. I only submitted one image. How do I submit the rest? Simply return to this page and use the form again to submit your other entries. The maximum is strictly three images per category and if you submit more than this your three images will be chosen at random. I have successfully submitted an image but want to replace it with an improved version Submit your entry again using exactly the same title you used before. Your previous version will be overwritten. Can others see the images I have submitted? No. It is impossible for anyone to see competition entries, even your own. When I submit the form I am shown an error page saying ‘Server Error’ A Server Error is most likely caused when you try to submit an image file which is bigger than the size limits allowed. Individual images must be less than 2.5Mb. I have tried submitting my images using the website but can’t get it to work You need help. Please email entries@wolverhamptonyp.org.uk giving as much detail as possible about the problem you are experiencing.
